What data we collect
Email address, purchase/order info, license key records, download logs, support emails, basic server logs.
Why we collect it
To sell licenses, deliver downloads, send license emails, recover lost licenses, prevent abuse, provide support, and maintain the service.
What we do not collect
No manuscript text, no documents, no keystrokes, no in-app writing analytics, no special-category personal data.
Payment processing
Payments are handled by LemonSqueezy/payment processor. Maru receives purchase/order data needed to issue licenses.
Email processing
License and support emails may be sent through Resend or your email provider.
Hosting and infrastructure
Website/API/download systems may use Cloudflare, Hetzner, and related infrastructure providers.
Cookies and analytics
State whether you use no analytics, privacy-friendly analytics, or normal analytics. If you don’t use tracking cookies, say so.
Data retention
Keep license/order records as long as needed for license recovery, fraud prevention, legal/tax records, and support.
Your rights
Users can request access, correction, deletion, or export of their personal data by emailing hello@maruwriter.com.
International users / GDPR
If users are in the EU/EEA/UK, they may have additional privacy rights under applicable law.
